Next to the steps, you will surely notice two \u2018openings\u2019 and a stone figure that will remind you of a horse. And you are right. It is a horse\u2019s head that is in fact a bearing support for the parts of the building. We do not know whose balcony or \u2018balatura\u2019 was decorated by this horse\u2019s head, but the oral legend says that, during the Venetian administration, it used to serve as a measure of length (\u2018lakat\u2019 or 63.5 cm).
